Fluent Gives BackSeptember 11, 2013 | By Fluent
Today at Fluent, we are remembering the victims and giving thanks to those who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001. As a New York City based company, we’re extremely grateful for the opportunities that the city has provided us.
In an effort to give back to the community that has given us so much, we’ve been working closely with Habitat for Humanity as they continue to restore homes damaged after Hurricane Sandy.
On August 13th, 2013, we held our 3rd Annual charity golf outing benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Westchester County. What started out as a very rainy day cleared up just in time for tee off.
Through generous sponsors,
and raffle prizes,
we raised over $22k for Habitat and could not be happier with the outcome of the event!
More than simply raising money, we’re also not afraid to get our hands dirty and help out. On Saturday, September 7th, Fluent employees, family and friends went to Breezy Point, Queens, to help Habitat for Humanity continue to restore a community that was devastated by Hurricane Sandy last October. We helped to rebuild an elderly woman’s home, including repairing the floorboards, painting, and clearing out debris around the house, and also helped a family, whose home was destroyed, move into a new house.
The day was a huge success, thanks to the Fluent volunteers who shared their time and energy. We’re so thankful to have the opportunity to give back to the NYC community, and we can’t wait to go back!
