Opt-in marketing campaign drives over 250,000 qualified new email subscribers for Pepsi.


Pepsi is one of the most recognizable brands on the planet. While awareness of its flagship soft drink isn’t an issue, the company wanted to create a more direct line of communication with its customers via its “Pure Pepsi” email newsletter. In addition, Pepsi wanted to identify and attract a broader demographic, and to get fans to interact with and “like” the brand on Facebook.

Pepsi engaged with Fluent to accelerate the growth of its “Pure Pepsi” email list as well as its Facebook fan base. Fluent served precision-targeted email opt-in ads for Pepsi across its extensive online, mobile web, and in-app advertising network, and incorporated Facebook like and share buttons as well. In addition, Fluent included a real-time Facebook like counter to add an element of social proof into the campaign.


Pepsi generated more than 250,000 new email newsletter signups, and 60,000 Facebook likes within 3 months of launching its Fluent campaign.
