Fluent Featured on CNBC’s “Closing Bell”!

Fluent CMO Jordan Cohen was interviewed on CNBC’s “Closing Bell” about the launch of the Apple Watch. The segment aired on Friday, April 10, 2015.

In the interview, Cohen frequently referred to data from Fluent’s recent survey of American consumers, which examined their interest in Apple’s new Watch, whether they plan to purchase it now or in the future, and what they plan to use it for.

Cohen noted that, “even though 1 in 20 Americans [who plan on buying the first generation Apple Watch] sounds low, that translates into 10 million consumers,” which is “quite good for Apple.”

Cohen went on to note that this is “not just a watch. It’s a wearable device… in our survey we asked people what else they are going to be doing with this, besides telling time. Thirty percent said they are going to be using it [primarily] for health monitoring. Another 20% said they are going to be using it for shopping, 15% for gaming. So they are not really going after the watch market… they are creating an entirely new category.”
