repurchase lift vs. control
Brands ultimately want customers to shop more and shop more often. For this retailer, that meant looking past the first conversion - not whether the offer worked, but whether it built loyalty after.
Shoppers who converted on a relevant post-purchase offer unlocked a $25 loyalty reward, funded by the retailer and credited to their rewards account. That reward tied the offer directly to a future purchase.
Fluent compared the exposed population with a control group across redemption, average order value, and repurchase rate. That showed exactly how the reward changed shopping after the sale.
The loyalty reward gave shoppers a reason to return that was concrete, familiar, and tied to the brand. The promotion carried value beyond the first conversion, and the control-group design showed how that value translated into stronger retail behavior.
Net average order value reached $148, excluding the $25 reward, versus $122 for control, a 21% lift. Gross average order value was $172 when the reward was included. Repurchase rate reached 51% for shoppers who earned the reward versus 46% for control, an 11% increase.
